If you have questions about how to create a survey in Elia, the following video is for you.
Question types
Descriptive
The descriptive type question is one that seeks to obtain detailed information on a specific topic. These questions are usually open-ended and allow respondents to provide more detailed and complete answers. Instead of looking for short answers, they focus on gathering specific information to better understand participants' experiences, opinions, or behaviors.
Yes/No
The yes/no question is one that asks participants to respond affirmatively (Yes) or negatively (No) to a specific statement or statement. These questions are closed and seek to obtain direct and concise answers. Its main objective is to collect information quickly and efficiently, especially when seeking to obtain quantitative data or evaluate the prevalence of certain opinions or behaviors.
Multiple choice
The multiple choice question is one in which the respondent is presented with a statement or question, followed by several response options from which they must choose the one that best reflects their opinion, experience or preference. This format provides participants with a variety of options and allows data to be collected in a structured manner, facilitating quantitative analysis of responses. The person surveyed selects the option that he or she considers most appropriate among those provided.
Date
The date type question asks participants to provide information related to a specific date. This question type is used to collect temporal data, such as event dates, anniversaries, or any information that is tied to a point in time. The answers to these questions are usually entered in a date format, allowing precise information about the chronology of events or experiences to be obtained.
File
The file type question is one that asks participants to attach or provide a specific file as part of their answer. This question type allows respondents to attach relevant documents, images, PDFs, or other file types to support or expand their answers. It is useful when you need to collect detailed information that cannot be easily expressed in words or when additional documentation is required.
Rating
The rating question is one that seeks to evaluate the level of satisfaction, preference or performance of the participants in relation to a specific product, service or experience. These questions typically use numerical or descriptive rating scales, where respondents assign a score to the statement or item provided. The objective is to measure the opinion or perception of the participants in a quantitative and comparative way.
Credential
The credential question refers to a query that asks participants to provide specific information about their identity or affiliation. These questions seek to collect relevant demographic and contextual data, such as job title, organizational affiliation, educational level, or other details that help categorize and better understand respondents. They can be useful to analyze results according to different segments of the population.
Voice-only
The voice-only question means that a spoken response is expected rather than a written or selected response. Participants have the option to express their opinions, comments or responses using their voice instead of using written text. This format can be useful when you want to capture responses more naturally, allowing respondents to express their thoughts orally rather than being limited to predetermined options.
Rating with emojis
The emoji rating question in a survey uses emojis instead of numerical or descriptive scales to assess participants' level of satisfaction, preference, or experience. In this format, respondents are asked to choose or select an emoji that best represents their opinion or feeling about a product, service, or experience. This approach seeks to make the response more visual and accessible, allowing participants to express their evaluations in a more intuitive and emotional way through graphic icons.
